These are the days

Often, the times that you remember most are short and fleeting. You wish there could have been more time that day; that week; that month. In retrospect you realize that those times were perfect. To squeeze just one more minute would not have made it more memorable. Perhaps, the very fact that time was short adds to the intensity of the moment. 

This weekend I spent time with some of the people I most enjoy being around. 

Friday after work we had a blind tasting party at Robin's place. Saturday I was able to steal a few hours wine tasting in the Russian River Valley with my favorite enologist, inbetween my day and night shifts.  Sunday it was time with Robin, Chris and fellow Ramey intern Denise at her most unique olive harvest party.

Saturday evening we set up 4 tanks to be drained. The Sunday A.M. crew drained those tanks and today we'll dig them out. Four more empty tanks. The end of harvest is fast approaching.
