Did you know I used to be somebody...

Forlorn and desolate. Enviously, my gaze kept wandering to the 2nd floor tasting room. It seemed just a short time ago that I was the one being wined and dined. Now it was my fellow wine directors, the guys from the great Boulevard Restaurant in San Francisco, that spent several hours tasting Ramey wines accompanied by our on-site Chef's fragrantly scented rack of lamb, cheese plates and other tasty goodies.
Meanwhile, another round of barrel washing for the grunt. My pants look like modern art!

Actually, pretty exciting times (i think). Tomorrow Chardonnay grapes from Hudson Vineyard in the Carneros region will be arriving.  That is the Associate Winemaker, Cameron Frey, cleaning, rinsing and sanitizing the huge press getting ready for the start of Harvest 2009!
