Roses. Somehow, I always pictured my Mom in her backyard planting roses. Welcome to Wasco! This is Wasco, CA. Roses as far as you can see. I did a U-turn to get this picture.
I will explain how this relates to winemaking next episode. Stay tuned.

Valentina. A real firey winemaker from Uruguay. She is doing an internship at Frank Family in Calistoga, Napa Valley. She has worked 8 harvests in her young life, she'll let you know, she is a winemaker, not just an ordinary intern!  (that's Chris with her). Tannat is the red wine varietal of choice in Uruguay. She says it is bold and spicy.

Music Festivals and cookouts! Lots to do during Harvest and all through the Summer. Robin took me to Mazzocco in Dry Creek. Soulshine Blues Band!  Beautiful setting. Bring your own food. Perfect weather.
