A real loyal worker, Rocky hikes the roads and vineyards of Krupp Brothers way above Atlas Peak and the Stags Leap District. That is him with Jan Krupp at their little office in the Krupp Vineyard. His famous Stagecoach vines are farther up the road.On our 2007 trip, Jan told me when Rocky was younger he used to follow his truck from Krupp to Stagecoach - at least 10 miles!
During the formative years of this vineyard (mid-1990s), folks from the Napa Valley thought Jan was crazy. Now over 50 wineries buy his grapes.
