I also got to spend an hour with another Bob's alumn, shout out to Jen.
The plan is to check out the Buddy Holly museum. He is from Lubbock. Then over to see our new friend and winemaker, Kim McPherson. He went to UC-Davis with David Ramey. Last time he told us David owes him a beer. Kim is from one of the oldest Texas winemaking families. Llano Estacado I believe. I'll double check today.
Last night was Tamale Enchiladas courtesy of Chef Bug. Gizmo helped with the dishes. Todd & I watched the Rangers get pummeled. He played Triple-A for the NY Mets back in the day.
This was my view driving through West Texas. Lots of oil pumpjacks, wind turbines, cotton, corn & maize (there is a difference - people eat corn, cattle eat maize. Which do you prefer) and lots and lots of scrub.
