Solar Beer

Brewpubs are still alive and well in Northern California. Tuesdays are great at Healdsburg's Bear Republic. Racer 5 IPA being the favorite of our crowd.

But you have to try new things. So, Saturday I skipped the last chance at another winery (most tasting rooms close around 4:00 to 5:00 just so you know).

I Went Solar! Anderson Valley Brewing Company is mostly solar powered. Check out all those solar panels.
Did the 6-beer tasting. You'll notice at first it was 5, but for under $20 I could have added several more.

On this day, my favorite was the Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema - a malty, slightly sweet, creamy beverage.
Alas, I had to leave those little beauties fairly full,
I had that winding hairpin beast known as Highway 128 to Healdsburg still ahead of me.
But, 2010 internship???  Brewmaster Andy!
